They provide extremely sturdy support, being able to hold studio equipment such as strobe units and multiple light bulb heads, as well as giving the ability to suspend objects in the air. C-Stands provide more support than normal boom arm stands due to the leg positioning, and the sheer weight of the C-Stand. They also have a lower centre of gravity, further stabilising and being the perfect support within any studio.
